Oakham Suite is now recognised as one of the premier independent venues in the heart of Mansfield. We are in a convenient area on Nottingham Road, (next to the Talbot Inn) with truly enviable suites to be proud of. Perfect for conferences and dinner dances among many other
types of events.
We offer room hire and catering services for weddings, conferences and seminars, private functions-anniversaries, celebrations, proms, discos, funeral gatherings, lectures, wedding fayres… both our ground floor Oakham Suite and first floor Sandhurst Suite can be used in a
variety of different ways to suit most occasions from small to large events of up to 300 people.
The most important asset the Oakham Suite has is its staff – people who make things happen.

Some jobs have entry-level requirements 5 GCSE’s grades A – C to include Maths and English

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, Oakham Suite Ltd are actively seeking to employ a General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of Oakham suite ltd.
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
To Manage all Operations at the Oakham Suite and Mansfield Masonic Hall.
Be Responsible for all logistical concerns, including event co-ordination, housekeeping, Health and Safety issues, stock control, chemical control, budgets and forecasts related to all operations.
Have knowledge of licensing laws, and Bar Management and front of house responsibilities.
Engage in Training and Development for all staff permanent and casual.
Responsible for all aspects of Man Management of staff and assist with financial information including payroll with the accountants.
Provide Regular reports to the Board of Directors
The successful candidate will have previous experience in Man Management and Organisational roles.
Applicants must have a good understanding of budget implications, restraints and be able to prepare an annual budget
Candidates should be analytical with good customer service and administration skills.
